- Perform steroid assays using methods such as LC-MS/MS, GC/MS, immunoassays, or other relevant methodologies.
- Ensure accuracy, precision, and reliability of test results through rigorous quality control and proficiency testing.
- Participate in research and development initiatives to expand steroid testing panels or improve analytical methods.
- Prepare reagents, standards, and chemical solutions according to established protocols.
- Perform routine extractions, dilutions, and sample preparation for analysis.
- Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation (e.g., HPLC, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, spectrophotometers) under supervision.
- Record and verify data accurately in laboratory notebooks and/or the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Conduct routine quality control checks and assist with equipment calibration and maintenance logs.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements (e.g., CLIA, CAP, OSHA).
- Assist with inventory management and laboratory housekeeping.
- Collaborate with other lab staff to ensure timely completion of testing and reporting.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development
