The Chemist Technician I supports daily laboratory operations by preparing samples, performing routine chemical analyses, and assisting senior chemists in maintaining quality control standards. 
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform steroid assays using methods such as LC-MS/MS, GC/MS, immunoassays, or other relevant methodologies.
  • Ensure accuracy, precision, and reliability of test results through rigorous quality control and proficiency testing.
  • Participate in research and development initiatives to expand steroid testing panels or improve analytical methods.
  • Prepare reagents, standards, and chemical solutions according to established protocols.
  • Perform routine extractions, dilutions, and sample preparation for analysis.
  • Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation (e.g., HPLC, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, spectrophotometers) under supervision.
  • Record and verify data accurately in laboratory notebooks and/or the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Conduct routine quality control checks and assist with equipment calibration and maintenance logs.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements (e.g., CLIA, CAP, OSHA).
  • Assist with inventory management and laboratory housekeeping.
  • Collaborate with other lab staff to ensure timely completion of testing and reporting.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development

Compensation: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
